Bresnan Communications is committed to making a difference in the lives of families through their Internet safety initiative, Bresnan Safety Net. As part of this initiative, Bresnan has joined forces with the law enforcement community, utilizing the experience and knowledge of FBI agents and local police officers and detectives to present a real and informative program designed to educate not only kids of all ages, but their parents, too. ![]() These lunch and learn events feed the body and the mind, as parents and kids are treated to a delicious lunch, information packets, and a special presentation and question and answer session hosted by experienced law enforcement professional. The agents, officers, and detectives offer real life stories and examples, and cover a variety of topics from internet predators, to cyber-bullying, to making smart decisions in regards to what kinds of personal information and content a person posts on the internet. There is a second session during the presentation that is for parents only, allowing the adults an opportunity to ask questions and discuss topics that they might not want to bring up in front of their children. Some events also include free child fingerprinting. While each presenter’s style is different, the program is consistently informative and honest and can be tailored to meet the needs of any age group.
